This 6 week course is the perfect opportunity to learn everything you need to know about the seductive, yet challenging medium, gouache! For 2 hours every week, we will meet and paint replicas of mid-century, Disney concept art. Originally painted by legendary artists, Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle, the pieces I have chosen for this course will help students understand colour theory, dry brush and blending techniques, as well as what makes a successful composition. One week before class begins everyone will receive a presentation and video link that will introduce the various brush and mixing techniques we will be using throughout the course.
Every week, students will also receive a demo video of what's to come in the following class.
During each session I have my camera set up so you can follow along step-by-step. I do my best to make every piece approachable and set a pace that most find very easy to keep up with.

This 6 week course is only $300 (CAD) and requires only 7 colours: primary cyan, ultramarine, red, primary magenta, yellow, black, and white. No experience needed.
